Esmee vertelt over haar paard Willem, een 13-jarige ruin. Wat begon met een ongeluk in de stal, liep uit op een serieus hersteltraject.
“All of a sudden, both his legs were swollen. On his right hind leg, he had a wound and a tendon injury from getting trapped in his stall. The vet performed an ultrasound to assess the damage. We saw swelling around the tendon, and on the scan there was clearly a black hole in the tendon tissue.”

Eerste behandelingen zonder gewenst resultaat

Esmee startte meteen een intensief behandelplan.
“We began with a PRP treatment in November. Unfortunately, that didn’t work within the six weeks it was given. After that, we tried a laser treatment plan. That already achieved quite a bit for Willem, but it still wasn’t enough. He still wasn’t fit to be ridden and couldn’t even trot cleanly on his own.”
